Junior Innovation Adviser

We are looking to strengthen our Technology & Innovation department with a junior Innovation Advisor based in our Dutch, Belgian or Luxembourg offices. Are you interested? Then apply for this challenging position!

Digital technologies continue to make fundamental changes to the legal profession. Our current technology stack contains automated drafting, artificial intelligence applied to document review, transaction workflow automation, and low code platforms. Through these technologies and by optimising business processes, we are creating opportunities to change the way we deliver our services to clients.

In this context, Loyens & Loeff has decided to invest in accelerating the adoption of technology in our firm and to start paving the way to become the next generation law & tax firm. To support that transition, we are looking for a talented junior Innovation Advisor to join us in our innovation process and drive the digital transformation of Loyens & Loeff.

Your responsibilities as a junior Innovation Advisor

  • Collaborate with lawyers, notaries and tax advisors on Technology & Innovation portfolio projects.

  • Act as a linking pin between the business and the legal engineers.

  • Support all communication about the Technology & Innovation process as well as regarding new projects and initiatives for the practice groups and other stakeholders.

  • Support the projects in which user and customer needs are identified (user/customer journey mapping) with the aid of, amongst other things, design thinking methods.

  • Support pilots around software implementation to test the fit between problem and solution in collaboration with the business.

  • Support the practice groups in the implementation of the Technology & Innovation process and technological solutions.

  • Support the rollout, maximising user adoption and scale-up of technology solutions.

  • Support collection and analysis of data about the use of technological solutions and their return on investment (innovation accounting).

This role suits you, because

  • You have a Bachelor or Master's degree of a relevant discipline, showing demonstrable affinity with law, digital transformation, legal technology or innovation.

  • You have a natural talent for inspiring, motivating and connecting people.

  • You are a team player.

  • You have excellent analytical skills, a creative mindset and you are a solution-driven thinker.

  • You have well-developed communication skills.

  • You have an excellent written and verbal command of the English language. Command of Dutch or French is a plus.

  • You are pro-active, self-reliant, and have a strong sense of responsibility.

  • Most of all, you are a team player and problem solver who manages to navigate complexities in an ever-changing environment.

Where will you be working as Innovation Advisor? 

The Technology & Innovation department consists of around 25 colleagues. There is an open and informal atmosphere within the team. Our pragmatic approach and our drive to find innovative solutions enable us to respond effectively to the needs of our clients in their national and international businesses.
