Senior Scrum Master (ENG)

We’re on the lookout for a Scrum Master who is passionate about driving change and energizing teams. As a Scrum Master, you’ll be pivotal in promoting the agile mindset, ensuring project teams function optimally, and fostering self-organizing teams that deliver value to our clients. You’ll guide varying project teams, including legal technology experts, IT colleagues, external software developers, and legal professionals (notaries, tax advisers and attorneys). Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the quarterly planning for these project teams, ensuring that our technology and innovation projects are strategically aligned and executed efficiently.

In summary, you’ll facilitate, inspire, guide, and coach multiple project teams, manage and improve SCRUM practices within the teams and across Loyens & Loeff, and drive the strategic planning process. Your responsibilities as a Senior Scrum Master:

  • manage cross-business service department projects, maintaining an overview of all priority projects/programs;

  • liaise with stakeholders, including partners and managers, to coordinate initiatives under strategic firmwide programs;

  • develop and manage the quarterly planning for technology and innovation project teams, aligning project objectives with business goals;

  • identify issues and impediments within projects ensuring project teams deliver value to the business;

  • detect interpersonal tensions and conflicts, maintaining a focus on enhancing team performance in quality, speed, and output;

  • assist and coach the team members and stakeholders in understanding and applying SCRUM, product development, and project management, initiating organizational changes to boost team productivity;

  • ensure optimal use of the SCRUM framework and Agile principles, resolving impediments and providing content support to meet sprint goals.

  • approximately 3-7 years of relevant project management and SCRUM experience;

  • knowledge of DevOps (Agile method);

  • strong communication skills in English and Dutch;
