Working Student Technology & Innovation (Technology Team)

Digital technologies continue to make fundamental changes to the legal profession. Our Technology & Innovation team is looking for an (international) working student. Loyens & Loeff offers the unique opportunity to gain experience applying legal technology. You will work for six months on the implementation of artificial intelligence applications across multiple of our firm’s Practice Groups as well supporting our analysis of the legal tech market. Your contribution is part of a larger technological effort to transform the way top tier legal service providers operate.

 

What are you going to do?

  • Work with state-of-the-art legal tech software.
  • Train classification algorithms.
  • Interpret results of classification algorithms.
  • Search, process and systematically classify legally relevant information.
  • Collect, structure, and analyse information about the legal tech market.

This role suits you, because

  • You are in the end phase of a Bachelor program or starting phase of a Master program of a relevant discipline, such as Law, Artificial Intelligence or Technology & Innovation).
  • You can work sixteen (16) hours a week for a six-month period.
  • You have legal interests that go beyond the application of rules.
  • You aspire to improve your legal as well as technological skills.
  • You are eager to learn more about (legal) data analysis, machine learning, automated drafting, low code platforms and other legal tech applications.
  • You are precise and focused.
  • You have an excellent passive command of the Dutch language and are fluent in English.

Application procedure

  • Step one

    You will start your application procedure by filling in the online application form.

  • Step two

    Our recruitment team will receive your application and evaluate your CV, letter of motivation, grades and previous reviews.

    The recruitment team will invite you to make an online cognitive assessment.

  • Step five

    After you finished the cognitive assessment, you will be invited to speak in two interviews. First an HR-interview with one of our recruiters and after with two of our partners.

  • Step six
