Loyens & Loeff
“Working closely together and delivering under pressure – that’s when our team is at its best.”
Marieke has been working at Loyens & Loeff for two and a half years as a deputy civil law notary. She began her career in the Corporate M&A department and recently moved to the Real Estate practice. That combination gives her a broad perspective on transactions and close collaboration across disciplines.
Her days are shaped by a mix of client contact, teamwork and drafting. Typical work includes coordinating notarial deeds, meeting with colleagues and clients on new transactions, and updating documentation based on those discussions. While no two days are the same, collaboration is a constant.
"It’s special to recognise projects you’ve worked on when you’re out in the real world – that makes the work very impactful."
~ Marieke
Supportive and collaborative team culture
Marieke describes the team culture as open, supportive, and informal. Teams are usually made up of two or three people with different levels of experience, creating space for knowledge sharing as well as quick questions, discussion and humour throughout the day.
One moment that stands out for Marieke was working on a large, complex project involving all notarial teams across the firm. With tight deadlines and significant time pressure, close coordination was essential, and different teams all worked together to deliver for the client.
Enjoying shared success
That shared success made her proud, not only of the outcome, but of the way teams came together across practices. For Marieke, these moments highlight what makes Loyens & Loeff distinctive: collaboration, trust and collective ownership.
What continues to motivate her most is the people she works with, combined with the tangible impact of her work. As a real estate notary, the results are often visible far beyond the office.
